Having started this blog mainly because it was cold and I had a little extra time on my hands, little did I think that the chilly grip of winter would remain for best part of 3 weeks, with no real sign of it ending, weather reports today of a return to frozen Britain, a little news for you met office… it never went!
But lets not complain with every cloud etc. It has been wonderful to get out and about now and the hills around are magical, there have been some stunning evening and morning skyes, which really did take your breath away, or was that the sub zero air?
Not long now until Christmas and New Year, cant wait, and surely it will be white. Lets hope so, would hate to think this has all been for nowt.
No sign of thaw
Snowdrops are breaking through, how they survive amazes me, yet every year up they pop!
Not my best ever photo, I’ll try and do better when they are in full bloom
For much better views of snowdrops in Scotland have a look at VisitScotlands Snowdrop Festival site http://bit.ly/hUmeIA
I forgot to mention that we are getting 2 more cottages ready for their VisitScotland grading, just hoping the inspection goes better then Basil’s effort in Fawlty Towers

It’s turned cold on the Estate with winter white puting in an appearance
dall in winter
and the first frosts of the year have been oh so cold.
Can it have been only a few weeks since we were watching the stags in their rut?
Oh well, the quieter time gives us a chance to catch up on some maintenance about the place, also gives everyone else a chance to enjoy a holiday in a time of the year when it really is tranquil. Enough of the sales pitch for the cottages!
